In Japanese, 還暦 (kanreki) is five cycles of twelve years.

On kanreki, you wear red, like a baby.

Kanreki: full cycle, return to the beginning.

Plus four years later.

Sixy four -- the age when Paul would retire to the Isle of Wight;

the number on Kirk's football jersey;

The Golden years of youth (retirement? not for Kirk).

I remember when I was a boy,

Kirk gave me a large model airplane for Christmas.

It was too old for me, someone said.

I never again saw that airplane.

I wish that it would fly.
