Kei (respect)

Out of deep respect for tea,

I drink my coffee first, in the morning.

Only then do I drink sencha.

Sei (purity)

The third soak in an outdoor bath by the sea

on an afternoon with nothing more important to do

in Kii Katsuura, I sigh. 

Jaku (tranquility)

Yeah, that's a pipe dream.

Let's jump over the side and swim.
