St. Elmo's Fire
Tossing and turning in the waves,
lifted out of the sea-night,
we woke up next to each other,
our bodies wrapped in sails.
The great discoverers,
on their wind-worn
carracks,
long for such a night.
After a life of searching for a
simple truth,
a sudden break in the weather reveals
all I've been longing to find.
