Thoughts on “A Woman In The Dunes”

Thoughts on “A Woman In The Dunes”

In a dune, as a cage
Bitter life, desert sage.
Trace in the sand, disappeared
Wedded land, mind is cleared.
Buried in a hold
A slave to the sand
Digging for existence
She answers with a stare
He hallucinates as if
There’s no one there.
“Why me?” he asks.
“You came to me,” she says.
“What about the others?” he asks.
“You are here,” she says.
