Water In Drought Country
The October sun is cool-warm
on my skin.
Red-brown maples stick to the
brick-walk.
Persistent pecans drip onto
windshields.
In drought country,
reports of rain flood the internet.
Yet, water flows through me now,
giving life to butter-yellow and vibrant green.
